Gym

A couple of places spring to mind. "Biceps Gym" on Avenida Tirajana in Playa del Ingles, down the side of Barbados apartments. Their main claim-to-fame is being the only gym with a pub/bar! It's advertised in all the gay press though has quite a few str8 members too, nice mix. Typical, traditional (older) machines, all the basics plus spinning classes. I belive a daypass is around 9 euros and is open 8am-10pm during the week and 9am - 7pm week-ends.

My favourite gym is in the wellness center at Holiday World, Maspalomas, 2.50 euros or 5 minutes in a cab from the Yumbo, Playa del Ingles and worth it! Little if any gay advertising but half the guys in there are either on the police force or are gay so either way you win! Latest technology machines, very wide range in a very spacious fitness area. Plenty of free weights and 3 classrooms for spinning, wide range of fitness classes all through the day, always a monitor on hand. There's a dry and steam sauna downstairs and upstairs a heated pool with cushioned sunbeds, umbrellas, jacuzzis and air beds, hydro-massage and up past that padel tennis. A day pass there is 15 euros but worth the extra expense. Unlike most places, with a day pass there you really would want to spend the day.
